The Whitefish Wine Auction, a benefit to support the science and education programs of the Whitefish Lake Institute, will return to The Lodge at Whitefish Lake on July 21 and 22, 2011.

 

Thursday, July 21   Under the Lakeside Tent

The event kicks off Thursday at 4:00 pm with Tasting with a Sommelier – an opportunity to learn or refresh your wine tasting skills in a lovely lakeside setting.  Taste a variety of wines while having the aromas, flavors, and characteristics described by Wine Spy Dan Vogel. Join us for an event that will enliven your wine tasting and drinking experiences. From 5:00 to 7:00 pm guests will have the only opportunity during the two-day event to purchase wines directly from distributors. Join the raffle for a special selection of items and adventures while sampling fine wines and hors d’oeuvres and indulging in music by an entertaining string quartet. It’s all included with the purchase of a Thursday ticket.

The evening’s festivities get under way at 6:00 pm with hosted cocktails and bidding on a fabulous assortment of Silent Auction and Raffle items. Cocktails and bidding will be followed at 7:00 pm by a four-course meal prepared by the wonderfully creative chefs at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake - each course paired with wines from our featured winery.  Back by popular demand, radio personality Ross Strauser of BigValleyRadio.com will emcee the event.  Guests will once again be treated to an exciting and entertaining Live Auction with auctioneer Marc Vessar. With specialty wines, exciting adventures, and unique items to be auctioned, there will be something to delight and entice everyone.  Dinner, wines, and auction events are all included in the purchase of a Friday ticket.
